Mastitis or inflammation of the olan mainly refers to problems caused by the olan of cows. It is an infectious disease. In this disease, burning pain is felt in the cow's udder. The milk production of cows is disturbed.
Inflammation causes:
If cow's olan is affected by Streptococcus genus (Streptococcus genus) bacteria, fungi and microplasma, it becomes an infectious disease called olan inflammation. Other factors also include –
1. Olan inflammation occurs when cows live in unsanitary damp housing.
2. If the farmers milk the cow with dirty hands, it can cause bacterial attack on the udder or fungal infection or udder inflammation.
3. If there is an injury to the ankle or the olan in any way, the olan becomes inflamed.
4. Due to coagulation of milk in the olan etc., the pathogens become infected and cause disease ie infected olan and polluted environment cause this disease.
Disease symptoms:
Special changes in milk production are noticeable in cases of severe disease. For example, the milk will be thin and slightly coagulated.
1. The olan becomes red, swollen and hot.
2. Animal feels pain and body temperature increases.
3. Loss of appetite, lethargy, fever etc. symptoms appear.
4. If the disease is of a chronic nature, the quantity of milk decreases and gradually the milk becomes milky.
Remedy:
1. Sick animals should be kept separate from healthy animals.
2. Cowshed should always be kept clean.
3. The floor of the room should always be kept clean. This is because the mammary glands of the cow's butt are usually swollen when the cow is at its peak milk production. So when the cow sits on the dirty floor, germs enter the cow's olan through that gland. So it is very important to keep the floor of the cow house clean.
